We also provide you with essential knowledge on risk and asset management, reporting and maintaining business continuity in the current landscape.
NIS 2: new requirements for cyber security in your company

With the introduction of the NIS2 Directive, the European Union is aiming to strengthen cyber security in numerous key sectors of the economy. This leads to increased requirements for the companies concerned and enables the supervisory authorities to act more strictly in future. The member states must integrate the directives into their respective national laws by 17 October 2024. For affected organisations, it is now high time to start the extensive and resource-intensive preparations.
Is NIS2 relevant for you?

Compared to the previous NIS Directive, the number of economic sectors affected has been significantly expanded, divided into Essential and Important Entities. The main differences lie in particular in the increased state control and stricter penalties for Essential Entities. In general, medium-sized and large companies *with more than 50 employees* or *an annual turnover of more than 10 million euros* are affected. Smaller companies in particular receive insufficient information from the German government regarding the NIS 2 Directive. The affiliation of your company to one of the sectors can often not be clearly determined.
